Running Etiquette

To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive experience for all, please follow these essential running etiquette guidelines:

Before the Run

✅ Be On Time – Arrive a few minutes early so we can start as a group.
✅ Dress Appropriately – Wear weather-appropriate, moisture-wicking clothing and supportive running shoes.
✅ Hydrate & Fuel – Drink water before the run and bring a water bottle if needed.
✅ Know the Route – Familiarize yourself with the planned course to avoid confusion.

During the Run

🚶 Respect Everyone’s Pace – Whether you’re fast or just starting out, we support all levels! No one gets left behind.
📏 Give Space – Maintain a safe distance when running in a group, especially on sidewalks and trails.
🚸 Follow Traffic Rules – Run against traffic when on the road, obey traffic signals, and use crosswalks.
🔊 Keep the Volume Low – If using headphones, keep one ear open to hear instructions and traffic.
📣 Encourage Others – A simple “Good job!” or “Keep going!” goes a long way in keeping everyone motivated.
♻ Leave No Trace – Dispose of any trash properly and be respectful of the environment.

After the Run

💦 Cool Down & Stretch – Take a few minutes to stretch and rehydrate.
👏 Celebrate the Effort – Give high-fives, share your experience, and encourage fellow runners!
📅 Stay Connected – Join our community, share your progress, and invite others to the next run!

By following these guidelines, we create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. Let’s run strong, run smart, and have fun! 🏅💪 #HITFitnessRunClub
